The story

The house was built in 1889 for Napa physician Dr. Edwin Hennessey (spelled Henessey in the National Register record), to a Stick/Eastlake design credited to M.E. Johnson. It was listed on the National Register in 1986. Today it is a ten-room bed and breakfast where breakfast is served in a tasting room with its original 19th-century tin ceiling.
