The story

The two-story limestone hotel with a basement bathhouse was built about 1900 with a domed center tower that gives it a Romanesque look. The NRHP nomination calls it the only hotel in Eureka Springs still offering baths in the spring waters; the hotel calls its spa the town’s ‘last original bath house’. Rex Nelson’s column says the builder, George Williams, was fascinated by European castles, and that spring water from Harding Spring was piped across the street to a basement cistern.
