The story

Built in 1922, the building served as the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston before it was converted into a hotel in 1981. It is protected by the Boston Landmarks Commission, and the hotel says it looks almost exactly as it did in its banking days. MACRIS records the hotel’s earlier name as the Hotel Meridien. A corridor called Artists Lane displays photographs of the bank’s construction and early years.
