The story
The First National Bank and Trust Company opened its Art Deco tower in 1931, topped by a tapered beacon, and added a 1957 building and a 1972 building to the east. The complex sat vacant before a multi-year restoration reopened it in 2022 with a hotel, apartments, restaurants and retail. The hotel takes the lower eight floors of the bank building and includes a Presidential Suite on the third floor; the space was originally designed for offices.
