The story
Ford opened the four-story plant in 1916 as one of its branch assembly plants, building Model T cars and TT trucks from kits shipped by rail. Assembly ended in 1932 and the plant served as a regional parts depot until 1968, when Fred Jones bought it for his Ford remanufacturing business. It became 21c Museum Hotel Oklahoma City and, in August 2023, joined Hyatt as the Fordson Hotel. The name refers to Ford’s Fordson tractor.
