The story

The inn says the building began in 1869 as St. Jude’s Episcopal Church, on the foundation of a church destroyed on the retreat from Shiloh. A. B. Dillworth bought it in 1872 for his daughter Fanny’s wedding to Confederate Major George Washington Bynum, and she converted it to a home. Later owners included Judge Linden and the Ramers; the inn says W. O. Hathcock, linked to the State Line Mob, ran it as a bordello from the 1960s to the 1980s. Local buyers renovated it from 1985 and named it for the generals who occupied Corinth.
