The story
The Pere Marquette Hotel in downtown Peoria was designed by Horace Trumbauer with Hewitt & Emerson and was listed on the National Register in 1982, with 1926 as its significant year. A 2017 agreement kept the Marriott brand on the hotel, per Peoria Public Radio. It now operates as the Peoria Marriott Pere Marquette, connected by skywalk to the Peoria Civic Center.
