The story

Erasmus Nagle, one of Cheyenne’s leading merchants, began the Romanesque stone mansion in 1886 and completed it in 1888 at a cost of $50,000. In 1915 it was bought by Francis E. Warren, Wyoming’s territorial and first state governor and a long-serving U.S. senator; his widow sold it to the Young Women’s Christian Association in 1933. It later operated as a bed and breakfast until owner Jim Osterfoss retired and closed it in 2019, and new owners reopened it in July 2022 as an adults-only B&B.
