The story
The Yellowstone Park Company began the Old Faithful Lodge in 1923 and added to it through 1927, and between 1924 and 1942 it built the rows of frame guest cabins behind it for motorists. The 1982 historic district nomination includes the cabins as part of the Old Faithful complex anchored by the Old Faithful Inn. The lodge’s lobby, with views of Old Faithful Geyser, now houses a cafeteria and bake shop.
