The story
Rail Haven opened on Route 66 in 1938 as a set of double cabins with central car garages. It grew into an L-shaped motel complex with a 16-unit building and laundry (1950), an office (1953), a thirty-unit building (1957) and a pool and pool house (1958). It was listed on the National Register in 2010 and operates as a Best Western.
