The story
The Greek Revival mansion was built in 1911 for Robert F. Lytle to a design by David Lockheed Williams; the city record also calls it the Lytle-Hawley House. The city’s historic resource record lists it as the White House Bed & Breakfast, in the Irvington Historic District. It now markets itself as a retreat for silence and solitude, with eight rooms, each with a private bath, and a curated breakfast.
