The story

Avery and Julia Singer started the resort as Singer’s Lake Crescent Tavern, building the main lodge and the first row of cabins in 1914-1915 on the lake’s south shore. The resort grew through 1955 into the ensemble of eleven wood-frame buildings listed as a historic district in 2007. Today the lodge, cottages and restaurant (now Singer’s Table) are run by an Olympic National Park concessioner.
