The story
The 1909 building on First Avenue in Belltown was built as a workers’ hotel; the city’s designation report calls it a very good example of the type. It later operated as the Latona Hotel. It is now the original Ace Hotel, with loft-ceilinged rooms, and Seattle designated it a landmark in 2011.
