The story
The Colonnade Hotel went up in 1900 at the edge of Seattle’s commercial core, before the Pine Street regrade of 1904 left it partly buried on its north side. It later became the Gatewood Apartments. Seattle designated it a landmark in 2017, the same year it was listed on the National Register, and Palisociety reopened it as the 96-room Palihotel Seattle.
