The story
Revolutionary War lieutenant John Prall Jr. bought 290 acres in August 1792 and built a two-story farmhouse; its grain went to the nearby Prallsville Mills. In the mid-1800s Maurice and Asher Woolverton enlarged it into a three-story Colonial manor. Julia and Paul Child married on the property in 1946, when it was the Seymour family’s summer home, and Bucks County Playhouse founder St. John Terrell lived here in the 1950s and 1960s. Anne Hackl turned it into a B&B in the 1980s; four cottages were added in 2002.
