The story
Philadelphia attorney and developer Edward Warne bought the vacant lot in 1869 and finished the three-story Second Empire house in 1871. It stayed in the Warne family for several decades. The Mason family acquired it in 1940, and Wilber Davis Mason Sr. turned it into a guesthouse.
