The story
The hotel was built in 1882 half a block from the beach and has housed guests since it opened. Harry Kulkowitz became its innkeeper and restaurateur in 1976, and the family’s Mad Batter Restaurant is on site. The Kulkowitz family also opened The Cricket Club in the former Merion Inn in 2022.
