The story
One of Cedarburg’s oldest hotels, the cut-stone Greek Revival building went up in 1853 and advertised “first class accommodations, choice wines, liquors and cigars, good stabling and large stock yard.” It operated as the Central House and later the Nero Hotel, gaining dormers and Cream City brick trim in the 1880s. Restored to its original use in 1984, it is now a nine-room bed and breakfast with a pub that hosts music nights.
