The story

Merchant George W. Cobb, the great-grandfather of actor Vincent Price, built the three-story stone building in 1854 as a warehouse and dry-goods store. It stands in the Mineral Point Historic District, listed on the National Register in 1971. Its owners converted it into the Brewery Creek Inn in 1998, with guest rooms above a brewpub, and it now operates as the Commerce Street Brewery & Hotel.
