The story

The five-story Classical Revival bank building went up in 1906 for the State Bank and Trust Company, which moved in in June 1907 and failed four months later after a large loan to the collapsed L.M. Sullivan Trust Company. The Nevada Club Saloon and the First National Bank of Nevada took over the building in 1908, and with the Mizpah it was the tallest building in Nevada until 1927. It was an apartment building in the 1980s before closing. Fred and Nancy Cline, owners of the Mizpah, bought it for $1, renovated it from 2017 and opened it as the Belvada Hotel on December 28, 2020.
