The story
T. J. Ramsdell built the four-story brick and rusticated-stone block at Manistee’s most prominent corner to house First National Bank, at a cost of about $30,000-40,000. Fred Hollister of East Saginaw designed it. Renovated extensively in 2003, the upper floors now hold the Ramsdell Inn, with corner suites overlooking downtown and the Manistee River; the old bank lobby level holds T.J.’s Pub.
