The story
The Blenman Inn occupies an 1878 Victorian adobe mansion from Tucson’s pre-railroad era in the heart of downtown. It operated for years as the Royal Elizabeth Bed and Breakfast; the royalelizabeth.com domain now redirects to the renamed inn. Guests get an upscale continental breakfast and a pool.
The ghost story
Lore holds that Judge Charles Blenman, whose family owned the 1878 house for more than a century, never left: the then co-owner told KOLD News in 2008 that past owners' records and guests describe him walking the parlor and the garden path, and that the suite that was his law office is a favorite request. The owner added that a back door kept opening by itself and the family dog would bark at it when no one was there.
