The story
The house was built in 1826 in the Federal style and later hosted travelers bound for the resorts around Stowe. By 1890 it was the Henry family’s ‘Henry Farm’, and Annette Henry, who married rubber industrialist Albert H. Spencer, added the facade features that give it its Queen Anne look. After years of disrepair, Kimberlee and James Marcotte restored it from 1985 and ran it as a Victorian-themed bed and breakfast. Jack and John Barwick then ran the inn for about 25 years.
