The story
A hotel has stood on this site facing the Chester green since H. H. Ingraham opened the Ingraham House in 1863. The present three-story, gambrel-roofed Fullerton Inn dates to 1921 according to the National Register nomination. It was renamed the Chester Inn in the 1950s, closed in the early 1980s, reopened in 1984 as the Inn at Long Last, and took back the Fullerton Inn name after a 1998 sale. The current owners bought it in August 2020.
