The story
The inn occupies two early-19th-century houses on Islington Street, a main house of about 1815 and a guest house built about 35 years later. It runs as a contactless boutique inn with no traditional front desk, garden spaces and free parking, a short walk from downtown. New owners took over in 2013 (Frommer’s), and the owner, 2082 IL 50 VZ, LLC, brought exterior renovations before the Historic District Commission in 2022 and 2024.
