The story
The Wallace family owned more than 800 acres here, including the Brandywine Mills that anchored the village of Brandywine in the mid-1800s, and James Wallace built the house overlooking the falls in 1848. The farm now lies inside Cuyahoga Valley National Park and is leased to innkeepers through the National Park Service. Katie and George Hoy ran it as an inn from 1987, converting the farmhouse and carriage barn into six guest suites, and new innkeepers took over in April 2023.
