The story

The Broadway Building went up in 1925, when Lorain was a prosperous steel and port city, as a commercial complex of storefronts and offices. It now holds a 55-room hotel with a fourth-floor event center and rooftop views of Lake Erie, the Lorain lighthouse and the Black River bascule bridge. The hotel joined Historic Hotels of America in 2022 and is holding a centennial celebration for the building on November 14, 2026.
