The story
The town was called Hot Springs until 1950, when it took the name of a TV game show, and its bathhouses and apartment courts draw on an aquifer under the downtown district. The Blackstone began as an apartment court, the Starr, with hot water piped to a bath in each unit, and the district nomination dates it to about 1940. Today it has 12 rooms themed on classic TV shows, each with its own hot-spring soaking tub.
