The story

The Sisters of Charity commissioned John Gaw Meem to design a new St. Vincent Hospital, built in the early 1950s; the hospital stayed in the building until 1977. It then housed New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs offices and served as a film location. Drury Hotels bought the property in 2007 and opened the 182-room hotel in 2014 as an adaptive reuse, adding restaurant space and a parking garage.
