The story
The house was built in 1892 for Samuel Harrison Reed, the man who sold George Vanderbilt the site of Biltmore Village. The NR nomination calls it one of the most substantial Queen Anne houses in Asheville, with a corner turret, an ogee dome and a wraparound porch, and notes that its interior survives largely intact. It sits on a hill above Biltmore Village and is now an eight-room B&B.
